THE SWAMPERS present JACKSON NANCE @ Ritz Theatre, Talladega | Talladega | Alabama | United States

Inspired by renewed international notoriety fueled by the hit 2013 documentary Muscle Shoals, the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section has decided to tour. This is an historical event, and The Ritz got a coveted date.

Undeniably one of the most revered sets of studio musicians in American history with over 75 Gold and Platinum albums to their collaborative credit, The Swampers were immortalized in Lynyrd Skynyrd’s classic rock anthem “Sweet Home Alabama.” Always unique to The Swampers was the amazing diversity in their perfected styles – American soul, R & B, rock and roll and country — yet who to front the band on tour with comparable genre diversity became the big question. They found him in 16 year old musical prodigy Jackson Nance, the youngest singer/songwriter/artists to ever sign with Warner Chappell Nashville.

The Swampers and Jackson have already released one single, “It’s a Swamp Thing.” Underwritten by the AL Department of Tourism, the song serves as this young man’s homage to these hit makers of some of the most popular recorded tracks of all time. Here’s a concert story line not to be missed – new talent and veterans, young and old, a teen and Baby Boomers, a perfect balance of inspiration and innovation for the 21st Century based on the tried and true “good old music” that still hasn’t been topped. It is a unique Southern story that is told each time this multi-generational band hits the stage to serve up its bubbling, swampy brew of classic hits and brand new material from Jackson with a fresh twist.

Don’t miss this live concert and be proud to be from Sweet Home Alabama.
